The 136th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated here on Tuesday. In this connection, special functions held throughout the provincial metropolis by different political parties and organisations to pay homage to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. During the functions paid great reverence to services of Father of the Nation and special prayers also offered for the integrity‚ progress and prosperity of the country.

The political‚ social and literary organisations held separate programmes to pay tribute to the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. A special function was organised by Pakistan thinkers' forum and Fesal Model High school in Library of Archives, Peshawar. Chairman of Pakistan thinkers' forum Malik Liaqat Tabasum, former health minister Dr Nasiruddin Azam, former Attorney General Abdul Hakeem Kundi, Chairman Chamber of Education, Syed Mushtaq Hussain, Dr Silahuddine, Dr Saddiq-ur-Rahman and large number of students were present on the occasion.
